FordPass Update?

I cannot update FordPass 3.31.0 . If I go to App store and download app again, it brings up the old one on my phone.. should I trash current FordPass app on phone at start over? There is a option to Remove Vehicle.. ?
What's the Fix.. HELP WANTED..

Delete the app from the phone and reload from the App Store/Google Play. What phone and OS are you using?

If it’s brand new, how did you end up with FordPass 3.31 on it? Was it restored from an older phone? I‘d remove it and start over.

I don't have 3.31.. it's the same version I have when I got the car.. how do I delete from phone? dumb question I know..

On your iPhone:

1. Go into the App Store.
2. Tap your portrait in the upper right corner to bring up your account screen.
3. Use your finger in the middle of the screen and pull-down toward the button, then release (must be in the middle ... not the top) and this will force it to refresh it's check for app updates.
4. Tap 'Update All' (and check the list to see if FordPass is on it.)

Then I’m not really sure what you’re asking. How do you know you’re not already running the latest version?

To delete an app, long press on it until the icons start wiggling. Then press the minus sign on the app you want to remove.

I would suggest that you do NOT delete and re-download and re-install.... this will 'lose' your PAAK setup and backcode setting. A real PIA.

You might try going to your AppStore/PlayStore, search for Fordpass, and click on the green UPDATE button. This *should* update the App without losing configuration and PAAK info.

Interesting. I deleted the app and replaced it a while back and all I had to do was log into the app again.

It may have only been a problem on the old original version I got when I first set up, or an artifact of my old Galaxy j7 version of Android. I have no idea what information resides on the phone versus in the MME. My situation was probably complicated by the replacement of my center console screen about a month after I got the car.... which fixed recurring screen blackouts.

all has been working great recently.... reliable PAAK connections as long as I set my phone on the tray under the console screen, and no crazy battery use, so I don't wanna change a thing!

Press and hold on the FordPass app for a few seconds ... a menu should appear and you can select "Remove App".

You should then be able to re-install the latest version.
