Chinese and Korean factories are getting back to work (a lot of supplies for US built cars) after two months shutdown. But they were much more aggressive in controlling the virus. They went back to work when they saw no more infections. As Dr. Fauci pointed out yesterday when asked, he said not until US starts mass testing and knows the infection rate is going down and now it is still steeply rising. Hopefully China and Korea can ship us some testing kits as that is the biggest shortage along with disposable medical stuff like gloves, gowns, masks. Just a guess but mid-April we can start mass testing and maybe end of May see flattening of infection curve. But to selling EV’s any time in US, when EV’s are as affordable as ICE cars we’ll see more people by them but even then, unless they are required to buy and required to mfg them as in EU and China with specific dates and goals, we won’t see mass conversion. It’s why Ford and GM have been slow to the EV game in US, people just aren’t buying them other than Tesla. Ford can now compete with Tesla Y with the Mach-E.
