2021 FORD MACH E SELECT AWD
I have a 2021 Mach E and have been dealing with front camera faults for the past 3 months.
Took the car to Ford dealership and they replaced the coxial cables and tried to recalibrate the IPMA but it failed.
So they told me to come back on Dec 3rd while they try to get help from Ford Engineering.
I have a pessimistic feeling they won’t be able to resolve this issue without any proper help or advice
hence, I’m looking for support here to see if any one experience a failed IPMA calibration after replacement of Coxial cables.

I just had mine repaired for this exact issue. Ford had them replace the IPMA, then they were able to do the calibration.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll have them replace the IPMA module and recalibrate during the next appointment

I delt with the same issue in my 2021 MME. It took about 6 visits to the dealer. I would loose the adaptive cruise control when I drove over bumbs. It would come back a few minutes later. The only way they were abe to resolve it was by replacing the entire cable, including the connect to a sensor in the grill. Seems to be working okay now.

Mine had started out as an intermittent failure, which was likely due to the cable. But eventually it became a hard fault and the failure showed up on every drive. The dealer replaced the cable first, but then ran into the IPMA fault.

so.... this issue has returned for me as well. I had a couple faults about a year ago, wiggled the cable connector, and it was good until about a month ago.

Now, when I hit a bump at highway speed, like a pavement transition over a bridge, BAM, adaptive cruise dies, regen braking comes on, and the car behind me has almost hit me several times .... This should be a RECALL.

I will probably be taking the time to file a complaint w NHTSA since it is something that should be covered outside of 3-yr warranty as a safety issue.

are you listening @Ford Motor Company ???

I popped the cover off the front camera (above rear view mirror), and gave the micro-coaxial connector a little push and twist to re-seat, and all is well again.

Seems that these micro connectors are pretty sensitive to jiggling and can be easily loose/damaged if snapped on/off more than a couple times... such as during windshield replacements or if you drive a lot on concrete highways or asphalt/concrete bridge seams.

I am disappointed that a more secure connector was not used... seems like it should be a NHTSA complaint and recall since it could affect safety if(when) front camera signal is lost at highways speed while you are using adaptive cruise or any BlueCruise features depending on the camera.

are you listening @Ford Motor Company ???

Ford dealership got back to me and they said the calibration failed at exactly 81% each time they tried recalibrating it.
Ford engineers told the service technician to replace the whole windshield as the windshield is the issue since it’s not from Factory from Ford. The ford electrician disagreed with ford engineers and said that’s not the issue since the windshield had been working well without camera issues and most of their ford vehicles they have use the same windshield.
I’m have telling them to replace the IPMA as well but they keep listening to ford engineers.
At this point, I’ve decided not to go back to that dealership due to their incompetence to resolve the issue.
Did the calibration failed initially then worked as soon as you replaced the IPMA module?

I never had any calibration issues, mine never had problems until after the windsheild re-gasket recall. I had a couple "lost signal" pop-ups after that; when I popped off the camera cover, and wiggled around the coaxial connector all was well for another year or so until last week I took a trip that had a number of bridge/asphalt seams at highway speed knocked the signal out and it never came back until I took the camera cover off and wiggled the connector around....

I did a little searching around, and these mini-coaxial connectors apparently have a VERY limited number of times you can disconnect/reconnect before they lose their grip... and are easy to screw up and short out if disconnect/re-connect is done when the line is energized.

If you do not get signal restored with a push and rotate, then it is possible that the camera itself, or the module at the other end got damaged by sloppy re-connect after windshield replacement.
