Garage Overhead Cable Management

We'd prefer to park our MME on the right side of our garage which is less than ideal with the charge port on the front, driver side.

After far too much time internet searching and stumbling upon a few posts from Tesla users who built something similar, I ordered some parts and took a stab at putting together an overhead pulley system to keep the cable off the ground when not in use: rail, trolley, pulleys, and a spring balancer to retract the cable.

I've tried a few setups and had a few too many trips to the hardware store and I'm stuck. I'm hoping someone has either built something similar or has some ideas to take this project to the homestretch.

The problem: I can't figure out a way to mount the pulley to the trolley and keep it rigid and vertical. In the photo above you can see the back pulley at a 45 rather than vertical. This seems to be preventing the system from retracting smoothly. Does anyone have any ideas other than finding someone to weld the pulley to the trolley so they are one component?

In the meantime I've bungee corded the cable to the trolley which works fine but when pulled down, I'm not getting full use of the cable length as you can see in the "extended" photo below.

I hung a couple of bicycle hooks and have a tool balancer on the way. I will just hang the balancer in the middle of the garage. Do not have my Mach yet but I think this will work fine.
