Gear shifter not changing

Help @fordmy gear shifter is not moving from park. It is stayin locked there whatever I do. I can't move the car.

Sounds like a dead 12v.

There was A thread about someone having a similar problem on facebook. She ended up getting it towed to the dealer. What she was told was that a failed update had left some part of the software locked up. She didn’t say what had been done to resolve this. I would try disconnecting the 12V battery for a couple minutes to force a hard reset of all the software.

I had the same thing happen to me. Get in the car, start it, all seems fine until you try to change into drive. Stuck!!!!
Turns out it had to do with the extra security package I got. They (in my case Karr) had to reprogram both on their end and my phone, and now it appears to be fine.
This was all done in my driveway, so I'd try this approach rather than a tow if you can.
