I have the opportunity to trade up to a GTPE. It is build 5940 9/276. Is this after the May 2022 upgraded contactor unit? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

Check the driver door sticker. It will tell you the month of production.

They need to replace the windshield. Winter is here in Canada, so will need to lose the factory tires asap. I'm going to stop in and take it for a ride.

Yep, June 2022 or later is probably good. Since the door sticker doesnā€™t get granular enough to break down to week or date, you canā€™t tell by the door sticker if a May car has the new HVBJB or not (likely not). šŸ˜ŠšŸ©

I thought anything after mid May 22 should be OK.
Mine is 4/22, so Iā€™m ā€œtechnicallyā€ affected

Do you remember what build number you were in May? I'd like to know if this Car was built after.

I'm going to test drive this GTPE today. It's $88,995 CAD, with 18,430kms. I'm bringing my flashlight. First thing hop under and have a look at the battery rails. Check the door sticker for build date. Did the owner get the 10k mile service? I think it's high mileage for a .5 year old car. Probably hot DC Fast charging and many wide open throttle events. Still has the summers on too. It's been below 0C at night. Windshield has a chip and needs to be replaced. Sounds like I'm getting ready to low ball! Lol.

I will report back.....

The car was insanely dirty. No all weather mats. Scratch under the front spoiler. Nasty curb rash on drivers front wheel. Pirelli summer tires already have cracking propagating from the treads. Build date May 2022..... I liked the seats. Ride felt good. Battery rails were straight. I thought the salesman might hurl, as I ducked down a long straightaway and put the hammer down. Nice acceleration. Tires just on the edge of grip. Upgrade from my Mint Select, to a GTPE rode hard and put away wet. Decisions!

Yeah, I wouldn't say that was a deal. I traded my pristine Select for a GT (non PE), and it was way less, and I get the tax credit again. No thanks on an abused one.

Looking this morning, Dam's Ford in Langley BC has x3 New Dealer ordered GTPEs in stock. $88,095 CAD. Only catch, they have the black painted roof, and no BlueCruise. Grabber Blue, Black, and DMG.

You call that nasty curb rash!? Really!? Scratch under the spoiler šŸ¤£. Used cars arenā€™t for you obviously.

Obviously. The squashed Tim Hortons coffee cup on the rear floor mat, that nobody bothered to remove was a red flag as well. Lol
