I’m living my best life bro. I’m not unhappy, just not satisfied. I’m also not looking for the fastest but better than something that requires a power limiter. Face the facts, Ford currently can’t build this electric car with out limiting it for fear of burning up engines. Ford can do better.

No matter what you get there will always be something faster. If you’re unhappy you may even make money on selling it. But all the good EV’s have long lead times.

Thanks for sharing the info and I am the newbie Electric Guy loving my GT PE and learning. I have Ice performance vehicles and did not get the GT to race the Ice guys since all my Hellcats and GT500 always walk the EVs.
Yeah those cars are monsters.

That said you’ll easily beat them on the street to about 80 or so. Hard to beat AWD traction and instant torque on the street.

Past 80? We might as well be on a bicycle or a foot race. ?

So here’s possibly the final post from the OP. Ford is in midst of doing a buy back for me. I had the choice to get a new 2022 or even delay to possibly the 2023 but neither guaranteed removing the five second limiter. I also test drove the Y performance and found although definitely faster, the breaking and handling far too deficient for a car that fast plus I find Teslas not attractive. I finally decided to take the money and run. So the answer is to “would I buy it again?” NO! I didn’t buy it again. I will miss the car, it was one of the most amazing cars I’ve ever owned. That said, the car needs to improve in many areas to get me back. I’m not sure when that’ll happen or not. Currently I’m eyeballing the BMW I4m50 all electric it has a slower 0 to 60 (3.7) but I’m sure the 0 to 80 and beyond will be faster without any limiter on it. I can trust the handling and It’s also a gorgeous car. Best wishes to all of you and your cars too
Did Ford Buy it back because of the limiter?

No. The suspension default could never be resolved. I’m no longer selling it back to them but getting a 2023 ordered for the MSRP difference.

I have the Grabber blue GTPE. It’s my best family vehicle I have ever owned. It’s fantastic, want to change lanes shooting into a gap? No problem.

I have owned for 6 months and not a single issue with the vehicle.

yes it drops off at high speeds. I’m lucky and have a Viper for that.

Since 99.9% of my driving is local I love never going to a gas station. If you like to travel I wouldn’t recommend. Traveling charging takes too long to be practical. Again I’m lucky as my GF has a great gas SUV.

I have had the GTPE since 3/31/22 and thought I would be pissed about the 5-second limiter after waiting approximately 22 weeks.....I am ok with it, I get to where I need it and don't see this to race anyone....I have my 911 for that by myself without the Wifey......

Things I have added in 2.5 weeks:
Full frontal PPF wrap, liftgate lights wrapped in Black...Will eventually add PPF for the rest of the MME
Added a better sounding subwoofer, Added Android box to watch any App if needed while in motion, tinted windshield strip, front doors 50%....happy with rear stock windows, added sports pedals (don't why a GTPE didn't come with it), added mud guards

Since I was sooooooo dumb not ordering the co pilot 360 camera system for $1900, Looking into adding 360 Camera system next.....I may powder coat the stock wheels even though it matches my Cyber Oragnce well

So with that said.....WOULD buy again.....LOL

Regarding the Tesla comparisons.

I see the Tesla as an appliance on wheels vs an enthusiast vehicle. If I could buy a washing machine on wheels that did 0-60 in 3 seconds, I wouldn't buy it over a MachE. For the same reason, I'm happy with my choice.

As the clock is ticking on my unit being returned, I’ve been test driving a lot. Today I test drive the iX m50. What an experience! It drives more like a SUV but when you’re hammer down, it doesn’t slow down at 70. It just keeps pulling. The unit I drove tagged at $95k so not it a comparable price range but you can see and feel where that extra 25k is. Right down to the self darkening moon roof (it’s a trip how it clouds over). That said, the GT PE is still my favorite drive but it also keeps glitching and reminding me why it’s got to go. Today, when I bluetoothed music it would only play on the front speaker. Ugh!

2,000 miles in on my GTPE and I would have to say it's the best all around car I've ever owned. Pass on the highway is more like I'm riding quick bike then driving a car... :)

It's a shame it's so fugly, though. And it truly is fugly.

I sat in an iX today.

Boy is it just as ugly in person as in pictures!

What was really odd is a big open area in Front of the console between the front seats……. Just like an electric golf cart!

Yeah, I wasn’t wholeheartedly sold on the looks but it’s looks like a BMW and apparently there’s a lot of people that love that look. That open space was interesting. Reminded me of an old truck with a bench seat. I’ll tell you what though, if you want the drive of luxury and 100k, it delivers. If my kids were younger and I was carpooling them around, this would be my choice.

Sorry to hear that...very unfortunate given the other options for the price in the market place. At least you have the best looking option! :)
