Has Hands-Free driving mode gone away

Wel, I don't find Activation Prompts, correct or not. Recall seeing Dirty Front Camera warning so I cleaned the windshield and the little lens just below frunk lid. Turned on more Connectivity switches and tested. No different. No better than the Hands-On blue bubble. After getting home after faied test, got an update notice to 3.5.4.2, and, as usual, no real info as to what changed other than Fine Tuning and "Enjoy". Worse than Microsoft!
Is everybody that commented at least on 3.5.4 ?
Wish Ford would concentrate on meaningful stuff and quit the silliness of crap like Sketch, Tetris, et.al.

I'll try turning it off, and see what happens, cuz I don't really want it on, but that was the only thing that made my BC come back. Now I will have to test it again.

Randomly I have had days where it wouldn't activate but next time I drove it was fine. I suspect some fault cleared itself after the next start. I did notice that if you are driving into the sun it will not activate. I have concluded if you can't see the road well, neither can the camera.

Ever since getting bluecruise in April (job 1 car in early access) I've had inconsistent behavior on some roads and rock solid performance on others. I'M Not sure if it has to do with the way the roads are mapped or accuracy of GPS, but when driving southeast on AC expressway and south on the garden state parkway handsfree engages roughly 80% of the time for me. Heading in the opposite direction it's more like 20%. Yet on the NJ Turnpike it has always worked well for me, with the exception of a brief period yesterday afternoon. For about 2 minutes yesterday it gave up on the NJTP, but that was because of the glare you mentioned - it was particularly bad in one area so the car gave up, but as soon as the road curved it engaged again for me.

The only distinction I see between those roads is that the AC expressway and GSP south of AC are divided by a large median whereas the NJTP is not.

Under hands free, you also have to have the activation prompts turned on as well or it won't work. Maybe that got turned off with the update?

I don't believe that is true. I've never had the prompts enabled. I'm at 3.5.4, and used BC handsfree yesterday.

As I mentioned, I've had spotty behavior for 6 months with lots of updates over that period. As someone else said if it isn't engaging at all it could be an expired map issue.

BC on again ! I tried everybody's s suggestions but still no BC. Got home the other day and FordPass said they had installed 3.5.4.2 (was 3.5.4 before), and today BC is back.
