I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra connected to my Mach E wirelessly using Android Auto. Works great during the 16 months I've owned the car.
However, there are specific locations, exact locations, where the phone disconnects and Android Auto goes away. It only lasts a few seconds and the phone reconnects and all is well, the music picks right up where it left off. One of these locations is when I go under a specific overpass on the 405 freeway in Orange county, CA. I can be driving at 80 mph or 20 mph and the disconnect occurs at exactly the same spot. I drive by there once a week and it always happens without fail.
Another spot is a freeway exit in Simi Valley, CA. When I get the end of the offramp it always occurs. Then down the road a mile in front of Home Depot it occurs again. Not occasionally, but every single time. I drive through this location several times per week and it always happens.
I'm thinking that there's some kind of wifi interference that is powerful enough to block the wifi connection between my phone and the car. Flooding the airwaves, if you will. So far, it's been just those three spots but I suspect that there are more of them out there.
Anybody else experience this oddity?
