Don't disagree.Repair and insurance costs to the consumer have never been a priority of Munro, because it's not a priority of the manufacturers.
That is one fault I have with Munro Live videos, and don't get me wrong. They are the reason why the Mach e fell onto my radar in the first place and what sold me on Ford's direction for this vehicle, cooling hoses aside. Munro is focused on eliminating complexity and cost for the manufacturers they work with. Nowhere in that process does that include increasing value and quality for their customers.
Where can we add more injection-molded plastic?
Are these materials too premium for a $65,000 EV?
Where can we hide more cost cutting from the average consumer while providing no additional value to them?
Look at all these features from Rivian! They need to be charging 20k more for their vehicles, market demands be damned.
Etc, etc.
Munro's perfect car would be assembled entirely with those crappy black push clips that break all the time. His schtick is predictable: everything made of steel should be made of aluminum. Everything aluminum should be plastic. Everything that's 2 pieces should be 1.
He basically argues for disposable cars, he's enthusiast's worst enemy.
