Hi all

Am looking to purchase my Mach E soon, but insurance pricing is higher than anticipated

looking at AWD extended range quotes coming in just over £1,000

10 year license with 9 years NCB

how much is everyone else’s and what companies are you with?

thanks
Try Allianz.

Was a round £750 for me last June and that’s @ 30k pa with business use and 6 points SP30s?

Admiral was c£1300.

Would be free to insure if I put it on my motor trade insurance I need for moving & road testing Clients’ cars but they don’t include or even allow
Me to add on glass cover and there’s a whole load of glass on this car?

sure, we can just ignore the fact that i lived there for 20+ years, but ok. Good luck!
Calm down, guys, take a breath ?

In UK it’s usually the loose nut behind the wheel and his/her Post Code & class of use that’s the difference on similar vehicles.

Then Insurers aren’t allowed to treat their existing customers at renewal as well as they do new quote seekers, regulation at work (NOT) in favour of the or consumer.

Good hunting for insurance anyways.

there's some companies in the UK that have better terms re the panoramic roof cover. Worth checking before you buy.

Never thought to research just the pano roof difference.

Motor trade insurer just won’t even look at any glass cover.

So, effectively I’m paying around £750pa for glass cover, I suppose.

I’d probably be better off knocking the private insurance with business use in the head, get Stangy on motor trade cover for free saving £750pa and underwrite glass replacement if/when needed myself though motor trade cover only pays out trade value if I write the car off.

It’s not worth very much now, c£13k

First world problems?

It's whether they consider the panoramic roof to be covered in the same way as "windscreen damage".

Admiral do. Moja and AXA don't. You have to dig into the policy to check.

Some say panoramic roof is only included if its part of the sunroof! Eg LV so they don't cover the mache pano
