What is the best pressure for an sr awd?
Don't know, off the top of my head my SR RWD is front 35, rear 41, going up to 41 and 49 for full load. It's on the sticker inside the drivers door.

Took my SR RWD <ach E into the dealers for the recall this week. Bit of a shambles as no pick-up or courtesy car option but eventually agreed to cover my taxi fare there and back. Anyway, they updated the software / battery modules I believe. Car now showing fully charged range of 251 miles as opposed to about 165 pre the update so that is positive. On the other hand I am still stuck on Power-up 1.61 which I though would be updated but hasn't been. The windsfreen recall was not showing on their system for my car despite the emails I have had from Ford so will have to wait on that i suppose.

Due to a lack of available windscreen stock the windscreen recalls are being done as a separate piece of work. You’ll only get called up for that when your car comes to the top of the pile based on when your car was originally built. Shouldn’t take too long, but do insist on a courtesy car and pickup for the next one, they are supposed to offer it.

They should be calling you (I got the call for my Pano roof, and they said they would call for the Windscreen when the time came)

@SashaLondon - Actually I've just remembered yours was bought through a leasing company wasn't it? It may be best if you do give the dealership a call just to say "Hi". I remember your recall notifications have been a bit sketchy.

I have had a letter from the leasing company for the recall and it shows up in my FordPass now.

I have a strange situation where the windscreen had a faulty demister element. It only affected about an inch of the width of the screen, but was right in front of the driver, hence a mild niggle. Then the windscreen cracked, with a crack about a foot in length. Might have been flying gravel, or might have been an inherent fault - I can't tell (it happened at night).

It assumed it was an insurance job, but no windscreens are being made available (to Autoglass, etc) to replace it until Ford has determined which windscreens need to be replaced as part of a wider recall, possibly for fear of replacing one windscreen with another defective one. All about batch numbers, apparently. The car is perfectly driveable, but this would be a significant issue in the event of a worse accident.

Took car into Bristol Street Motors, Orpington for the roof recall. Got a loan car. They seem to be Mustang specialists, and are focussing heavily on the MME (there were three in the showroom/car park, which rather substantiates this). Software seems to be upgraded, given a huge increase in range that I've just noticed on the app, and I am just waiting for the roof job to be completed, after which I will let you know a final verdict. But the people at Bristol St were unphased by the request, which suggests they may not be a bad dealer to choose for people in SE London, West Kent, East Surrey, etc. About 10 mins from the M25. Asked them to check the brake pads too, as per this forum.

Your system will only show an update if it is done OTA. If your dealer does the updates it won't change the update version on your screen. I had this when my dealer did 1.7.0. I know I had the update because of the changes but my screen still said 1.6.1. I received 2.1.0 via OTA last week and now my system has changed

When booking in the recall on the website I cannot see where you get a courtesy car. Is that an option in booking or is it standard?

do we need to call the dealer to book the appointment? my dealer, who have been great (but then i haven't had any issues) keep saying, don't call us, we'll call you.

i am in no hurry to get the roof and windshield work done, but if Bristol St Motors are good, i don't mind going to them even if they are way away from me.

which reminds me, we can go to just about any authorized dealer, correct?

The courtesy car is a bonus extra because its for recall work, if you try and book online the system isn’t setup for that

Your best bet is call them and speak to someone

For the windscreen work the dealers are not allowed to book you in until your VIN has the recall assigned to it. Ford are adding the recall to batches of VIN’s bit by bit so that they can manage the supply of the replacement windscreens. Dealers have been told quite strictly - no exceptions to this rule.

So if customers keep ringing asking to book in they have to keep saying “Sorry not yet”.

The Panoramic roof work is not limited by the same rules, so as long as the dealer has parts they will fit you in.. They have been instructed that panoramic roof works take priority over everything else, and that customers should not wait for both recalls to come up together.
