I know just before I took delivery of mine in May 21 I did a search and LV wouldn't insure the MME mine then. No reason, just no quote. As I already had a multi car policy with Admiral I went with them. Had to haggle a little bit, their new customer quote was less than mine but got there in the end. I have heard that LV are VERY selective about which EV's they insure.

Just yesterday i called my insurance broker and told them i was considering a MMEGT. Farmers Insursnce considers the MMEGT to be in the most expensive category to insure. Nearly $300 per year more than a similarly priced Audi Q7. The cost of ownership of the MME keeps climbing. Disappointing.

I used Ford Insure who use Admiral and was cheaper, wanted to ensure my MME goes to a Ford garage if any accident occurs. Just got my MME First Ed exchanging from Ford Edge and the premium went up by £8pm

Thanks to everyone who provided advice - I have now taken insurance with Aviva, via Gocompare - at £220 less than the best price my broker could come up with!
