Hill start assist system failure

Dealer completed CSP 22B08 and then completed safety recall 22S41. Few strange things when we got the vehicle back. First I noticed my home charging location with the assigned 90% charging level was erased. No big deal easy to recreate. Also, noticed auto hold did not seem to be turned on. When I tried to turn it on I got an message about a fault with the hill start assist. Can not turn auto hold on and continue to get message every time I try. Not sure if any of this is related to the updates. Will contact the dealer first thing Monday

Any luck with resolving this issue? I’ve found myself in the exact same position post recall work and update.

I did some more testing and found that in 1-pedal mode the brakes apply and it can hold on a hill. In 1-pedal I hear and feel the brakes release when I step on the accelerator when stopped on a hill. So I think this is software more than hardware issue. Especially since the last thing that was touched or changed on the car was software. I told all of this to my dealer and we are inclined to wait for an update that may address this. I am currently on 2.8.3. Not sure if newer updates address this issue or if Ford even knows about it yet. I am going to contact the dealer and Ford in another to week to see if they is any new information. I figure once more people have the problem then they can develop a fix.

This just happened to me tonight. I've only got the Hill Start Assist Warning but drive modes were not available at the time I turned the car off. We just got a ton of snow. I wanted to see how the remaining tread on my tires would do in the snow. I live a slight hill. I drove around my neighborhood testing traction and braking. I stopped on the hill a few times to see if the AWD could get me unstuck. It did but then I got the the Hill Start Assist Warning.

I did not notice anything mechanically wrong (no grinding or weird noises). But the per usual, the warning recommends I bring it into the dealer to have it checked. Sigh. Hopefully this does not result in another week with an ICE rental.

Following the update, started receiving continuous warning messages. Door fault Service required, Transmission not in park, Auto Hold System fault, Hill start assist system failure.
All doors are working properly, only auto hold brake feature is not working anymore.

you figure this out? I'm having the exact same 4 errors.

Apologies this is a late response but if anyone is having this problem still be sure to check your door latch and lock mechanism. Doubly so if you have an automatic.

On mine I had the transmission not in park, auto hold and hill start assist failures. I never got the service door message but when I used forscan I got a drivers door correlation dtc. Charging battery didn't fix it, or state of charge but after I installed a new latch and actuator (complete with bracket) to the drivers door the problems were fixed instantly.

This can be a common problem in ford's especially it took me months to sort because I never made the connection to the drivers door until I saw the dtc was linking to the Gear shift module and Abs.

In my case all the functions were working I.e. door not ajar, curteousy lights, etc only malfunctions were auto hold and hill start assist with the transmission not in park message so no reason to suspect the door lock or mechanism but that was the culprit the door lock was telling the BCM it was closed so all other functions worked but it wasn't telling the GSM the door was closed. Definitely check the door latch actuator and bracket
