Did you get your hitch installed?Does anyone have a recommended hitch installer in Orange County? Thanks!
No unfortunately not yet. There is a place near old town Orange called Plaza Mufflers who has done a hitch for me in past but I am hesitant with bringing my MachE GT there unless they have done one before primarily due the plastic needing to be trimmed.Did you get your hitch installed?
I have installed a few but none required cutting of the bumper. It appears that is a fairly common thing though, therefore I would assume most installers have cut bumpers. No unfortunately not yet. I am not sure - there are other threads about Torklift hitch which people may be able to answer. I am planning to go with the Torklift.Does the hitch interfere with the feature to open the hatch with your foot?
I believe you do need to trim the cover for any hitch to fit including the Torklift. There are some other threads on this with pictures on how much needs to be trimmed/cut. This is one reason I am hesitant to get a hitch so I have been driving my other car when I need to transport my bikes. The torklift looks like you don’t have to trim the bumper?
