I use a Tesla home charger with the TeslaTap 80w adaptor, and the charge is frequently pausing. Happens once or twice each time, depending on the amount of charge needed.
The error code on the Tesla charger indicates that vehicle overcurrent has been detected and instructs to reduce the vehicle’s charge current setting. I disconnect from the vehicle, press the reset button at the end of the Tesla cable, which clears the error on the charger, then I can plug back in and resume charging (at least for a while).
Has anyone had a similar issue when using the Tesla home charger, and know how to resolve it? Also a little concerned that this might be damaging the car or the battery. Thanks.
