I have a Mach E GT 2022 (August 2022 model so has the 'newer' HVJB apparently).

Driving into work and suddenly get the dreaded 'Service Vehicle Soon' warning and the power jail bars pop up. Still could drive the car with enough power to cruise at 65 mph but def could feel it not as peppy due to the jail bars. I've currently parked it in the garage at work. Called the dealership and set an appointment for tomorrow but had a few questions:

1. On average, how long does this take nowadays to replace the HVJB parts?
2. My car is over the 3 year warranty (still under 36K but I guess it doesn't matter). I assume this will be covered under the longer Powertrain warranty? Anything I need to pay for diagnostic or will that be covered?

Attaching a VIN as well as I've seen others help in pulling info about it:

VIN: 3FMTK4SE9NMA47289

Thanks!

There's an even newer HVBJB as of June this year, so the part never stops improving (or failing).

Good news is they aren't as scarce as they used to be, so it depends on how busy (and gifted) your dealership is. I'd ask them to be frank about their confidence, and if they don't feel confident call around to other dealers who may have more experience with it.

My advice: don't get stuck at the closest dealer without checking around first.

For your sake I hope you just need a software update or the HVJB fix and don't have the same issue we have with our 2024 Rally. We were getting the same errors as you but they would go away after sitting overnight. They would return a few days later.

We took it in for service and they said we needed a new HV battery cell array that would be shipping from back east via train. The initial ETA was 1-2 weeks. 4 weeks later the part is apparently on backorder and our dealer has no idea when it will get here. Very frustrating and the lack of communication from Capitol Ford is maddening. We appreciate the loaner they provided but now my wife is stuck driving a stripped down Maverick instead of her beloved MachE Rally. Needless to say she is not happy!

Either way I would think this would be covered under your powertrain warranty. Good luck!
