I know how plug and charge works (EA, Tesla, etc.) But, how do I start charging at other Blue Oval network chargers?

Pulled up to a ChargePoint charger. I have an account with them and an NFC pass in my wallet, but I figured I’d try to get it going without interacting with the podium. I look at my Ford app, but it wasn’t obvious how to start the charge. I looked in the car, but nothing popped up and the Charging app wasn’t any help. Eventually, I gave up and scanned my card.

I know I have an active account because EA worked seamlessly earlier today. How am I supposed to activate the charger on these other networks?

Maybe never mind? It looks like the instructions are to go through the Ford app and get everything set up before you plug in. The charger, of course, says to plug in and then start.

I’ll try next time initiating everything from the app before I plug in.

Correct.

Click on Energy symbol.
Click on Find Public Charging.
Pick charging location, then Charge Here.
Pick Charger, then Start Charging.

You can do it at home, just don't click Start Charging.

I keep having trouble at Tesla Superchargers, but I think it might be operator error. For plug and charge, I've been plugging the adapter into the Mach E and then the Tesla NACS into the adapter. Doesn't work until I try it several times. But I think you are suppose to plug the Tesla NACS into the adapter first, and then plug that into the Mach E second. Is that correct?

Are you at a compatible location?

I connect adapter first, then plug the combo into the charge port. So far, I have not had any issues with it starting charging session promptly (usually about 30 seconds or so).

I ended up just downloading the shell app, the plug and play never worked for me, and I set it up on the ford pass app
