How do you remove/hide Apps and Cards?

There are a couple apps installed and their associated cards in the list that I will never use, and want to delete or hide them.

Anybody know how to do that?

I don't think you can, but what I did was I just click on only the ones I will use and they will always be to the left and you never have to look at the ones you never use.

I think you can slide them down to remove them.

I think some cars will "fall off" the recently used list on the bottom after a few days or weeks.

Yeah I just tried again - and yeah swiping down dismisses the card and swiping up brings up the associated function. Again, it's not intuitive as the card disappears once you swipe up and when you move to another function, the card doesn't appear back in the tray right away; since it was there I figured that was how one dismisses the card...
