That's a setting in navigation.

Open navigation, towards the middle of the screen on the left is a wrench/hammer icon (if I remember)

tap that and go to AVOID

Tap avoid HOV/Express lanes.

Noise goes away.
Thanks. My screen shows toll roads and car pool options. It didn't seem to turn off the notices, but perhaps it will take effect next time.

I had an issue last year when I went to Colorado where the nav would have me exit the interstate, only to re-enter. Turned out the default routing setting got changed to eco from fastest.

I haven't yet found if it is possible to turn off express lane navigation notices. They are not helpful.
In the Bay Area, what were free Car Pool lanes for EV with stickers have been converted to toll Express Lanes with surge pricing. An EV counts as 2 passengers and one gets half price which is still expensive. Free requires 3 occupants as set by the Tag Transponder setting.
Question for you or anyone.
How do you get the toll tag transponder to get the 50% discount at the toll bridges. The "CAV " toll tag. Is this something I got to get in person or call in. They don't have it available to request from their website. I would think they need some proof before sending those ones out.

I got the "Flex" toll transponder which like you mentioned gets a discount on express lanes. That was the only available.

You can get it from the website. https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/support/clean-air-vehicle.shtml

Or just leave your transponder on 3 people because they have too many different rules and youre a rebel.

Took some pics just now.

After the Wrench/Hammer Icon under navigation go to settings;

After Settings Hit Guidance and under that, Avoidances;

And under Avoidances, hit Car Pool;

I used to drive to an area that eVee would constantly tall me to 'move to the express lanes' When I set this off, she stopped suggesting/demanding.

You can return a non-flex transponder and the refund will apply to the new one.
The FLEX has a switch with 1, 2 and 3 occupant positions
https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/support/using-fastrak-flex-faq5.shtml

With CAV sticker set at 2 or with sticker an passenger set at 3.

The police often monitor for incorrect settings and the tickets are expensive ~ $400.

Thanks. I have tried both having that setting on and off on my Navigation, but it still tries to send me into HOV/Express lanes constantly (Denver area). No clue how it can be this bad. Very annoying and I am very hesitant to even use the built in nav because of this.

well that sux...

When we turned off (actually turned ON) the avoid Car Pool Lanes [ O] she never bugged us again about 'moving left into the express lanes/HOV lanes'

Don't care to use them as here, we have to drive 4-5 lanes over across traffic to get in them, then they are really not that much faster if at all, then you have to work your way back to the off ramp.

The only reason I have HOV stickers on the beast is for the initial on ramp that has a light. I can avoid the long line and zip right by them.

I've started having a new issue with the built in nav after power up 2.3.0.
It has started explicitly telling me when to enter and exit the express/carpool lane on the interstate. On the surface this doesn't sound like an issue, but it's a pain (and somewhat dangerous) because by the time it tells you to exit the express lane, you only have .5 miles to cross 6 lanes of traffic to the exit.

I figured I could adjust the avoidances to stop this but no luck. Turning off the carpool lane does nothing, and turning off fees/tolls just results in the system telling you to exit the interstate entirely.

I can't tell if this is user error, a bug, or just bad design. Has anyone else noticed this or know how to fix it?
I just drove from Portland to Seattle, and most of the way north on I5 it kept telling me to get into the carpool lane and I was wondering exactly the same thing as I was driving alone. Thanks for this post, and for the suggestions after, now I know how to turn it off.

I came across this when I was in the Washington DC Area. They have express lanes with surge pricing and Ford Navigation keeps directing me to use them. Most of the time I can tell because it says to enter the express lane, but one time it said to exit on what I thought was the hotel route and turn left, then it said to enter the express lane. I had to quickly figure out an alternate route to the hotel. I checked and I have the carpool avoid turned on.

BTW, I did use the feedback feature in the car to send a message to Ford.
