How to Lower Startling IPhone Ring Volume During Podcast Playback

My wife is loving her new 2022 MME GTPE. But she ran into a minor problem while driving today.

She was listening to a podcast via Apple Carplay while driving on the freeway. While the podcast was being played over the MME's sound system, someone called her iPhone. She said that the ringer was incredibly loud, much louder than the playback volume of the podcast. The ringer was quite startling.

Is there a way to lower the volume of the ringer without lowering the volume of the podcast playback?

Yes and no. There are 2 volumes but only one control. When music/radio/podcast etc is playing the volume knob controls that volume. There is another prompt volume that is only accessed when a prompt comes on like a turn, or text etc, when its played and turn the knob its controlling the prompt volume. Not sure if the ring is part of that prompt volume but you can turn it down and should stay. Otherwise maybe check the iPhone for ringing volume.
