So, if you have the top of the screen in "small mode" to see the bigger button row at the bottom, the Navigation button has a sub-button on the left for "Home" and the right for "Work." However, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to set the right button for work. I can call a saved location "Work" in the saved places list, but that doesn't do it. I can't find an answer with the search here on the forum, and I can't find it in the manual; it's very light on the navigation system in general.

Any ideas?

If I remember correctly, hit the work button and it will tell you it has nothing set. It will then ask if you want to use current location or a saved location or an address. This is off memory so may be a bit off

On the little box under the map, the work button is actually disabled. Pushing and long pushing does nothing unfortunately.

I defined my own Work favorite long before the update to SYNC arrived that added the shortcut you described.

So I had an issue similar to what you're experiencing, though maybe it wasn't identical. Sync would tell me to pick a location for Work and then it would refuse to save it.

I figured out what had happened (I already made my own Work)... So I removed mine from somewhere in the navigation settings, and then that tile shortcut setup thing worked.

I’ll try deleting it to see if it makes a difference, but I didn’t have a work location assigned until I started trying to program that button.
It’s probably some weird bug on my Sync version, so it’s most likely all for naught anyway.

That actually does help! (Plus, I’d take BlueCruise over a non-functional navigation shortcut any day.)

We know the Job 2 cars have an older version of Sync, so if you don’t have it, that tells me ā€œunfinished feature.ā€ It’s something they’re working toward, I guess, but the icon slipped through the cracks and appeared before the rest was finished. Now I can stop looking until the next Sync update at least!

<SNIP>
Ford wouldn’t let me buy the Active 2.0 option, so no BlueCruise for me. ???
