I don't know that there's so much a stigma against paying a mark up as some people (me) just won't do it. However, I have strict policy about not having an opinion on how other people spend their money (as long as they aren't asking me for any). You can't put a price on happiness, enjoyment, and being done with the hassle. That's for each person to determine for themselves. So good for you, don't look back, enjoy your dream car, and don't ask me what I paid for a pair of shoes this weekend. ?

Its your money, enjoy the ride and don't look back. I couldn't stomach the 11k markup, but you do you.

I paid markup for my car too. In between holding off for the 2023 orders which open in August and getting the car now, I chose the latter and there are a few reasons why I did so:

1) I expect 2023 orders to be fufilled at a rate slower than before; assuming that Ford has not increased capacity from 2022 and closed the 2022 orders to resolve current year demands, it is likely that they will be met with extreme demand once again for the 2023 year as well. I know a few people who are on the fence waiting to place their GT orders for 2023 and this may be compounded as well by current year demands not being resolved before August.

2) The federal tax rebate offsets my markup.

3) I treat every iteration of the Mach E as an incremental upgrade (much like my iPhone), and would hate to purchase the GT at the end of its current product year (which should be in October-November when 2023 models roll out).

4) GTs are said to get a $4000 price increase next year.

Like the wife says... You did what you did. Now go out and enjoy the car.

Dude - I've been driving my 20 year old suburban while waiting for this car. I'd sold my expedition back in October and bought another car that ended up being unwound. My suburban has been sitting for 6 years on the side of the house.....it's been hell! I am having a hard enough time stomaching full sticker let alone over. Good for you and it says a great deal about the car that 11k more and you're still happy with it.

PSST ....you do know you can probably sell that one for at least 10k more than sticker AND still get the one you ordered. Thereby getting two rebates if you'd qualify for them

I think you’re right, but we had already planned to get an Escape PHEV this year so that we could get two credits before they start ramping down. I’m aware that I basically just wiped out that benefit by paying a markup. In any case, I don’t think we have enough liability for three credits.

I mentioned this in my initial post, but I don’t think it’s a bad idea to do this with a Select. If you can get a select with a $5k markup, you might come out ahead. For anyone in SoCal, Galpin started their offer at a $5k markup on the Select or $7.5k on the GT. They have ~30 Mach E’s coming over the next few months.

I absolutely hate that you paid the markup and kept this crazy train going. That being said - F me and my opinion. You don't have to deal with me every day forever. I probably would have done the exact same thing if my wife told me to just let it be and get it over with.

You don't get to win every outing. sometimes you "lose" to"win". Your wife probably knows you best and knows its best for you to just get all this over with then work yourself up.

Welcome to the Mach E club !!!!

I'm in the final stretch now. I have about three more weeks of work before summer break and I wont' be driving daily. Looking forward to getting rid of this beast soon though! LOL

I paid full sticker price plus 5k for my MME Select with Technology Package
Sucks totally but this was the last one left and NO OTHER dealers had any that were available for sale.
What pissed me off was that the dealers websites (and Car Guru app) show like they had them in stock. When I called they said they were all sold...but I should come in anyways to talk...i'm like...if I can't go there and drive home with my new car....why waste my time!!! SmH!!
