Installing tow hook cover on Mach E 2022

My original tow hook cover popped out somewhere along the way and I ordered a new OEM to install. It looks like it just pops on (there isn't an actual towing mechanism on my car), but there is a three inch long "tag" on the piece- see link below. Does anyone know if I just tuck this in and then pop the tow hook cover on? Or do I remove the long piece? Or...? I searched past threads and don't see an answer anywhere so if you happen to know, I'd appreciate any guidance. Thanks very much.

The long piece hooks in somewhere to the bumper to keep it from falling off.
