Instrument panel display changes back to regular mode from dark mode

Sometimes, when I turn my vehicle on, the display of the computer screen and instrument panel changes from dark mode, which is what I set it to, it changes back to white. Why is this, and is there a fix? Thanks.

Sounds like a bug or maybe it's switching to a different profile which happens a lot. There is no fix for it switching to a different profile. You just have to manually switch to the preferred one.
