Happy Thanksgiving all I came across a picture of the interior HUD that showed KM and percentage of battery left and came up with the following information.

If this was a GT variant which I think it was cause of the red stitching here are the numbers I got.

From ford website the different mileage reading were 230miles and 250 miles As of 11/28/19 only the 250 mile extended battery was left to reserve.

However the photo on the other site showed 407km with 88% battery left. When doing calculations that comes to around full batter at 455km or 283 miles roughly. So Ford like Tesla were being modest on their announcements and of course this is all software limited so they can tweek it with an over the air update as well.

The red stitching is actually the first edition, which is rated at 270.

Like to say thank you for clarification but I still think my math might be correct and if so they are under estimated the range of the vehicles. So if math is correct and the rated estimated range of first edition is 270 and my math is coming to 282 or 283 that is still about 10 miles difference or 5% increase but until they release more information this is all speculation on my part at least.

Oh I agree. Someone posted a video interviewing a Ford exec in another thread. At the 9:20 mark, the Ford guy says they expect to exceed posted range estimates.

Another Ford PR photo of the 15 inch display screen shows 3.6 miles per kWh use. Meaning over 300 miles of range is not unrealistic. Ford may be sandbagging the range numbers due to slow deteriorating battery cell capacity that occurs in all electric vehicles.

Happen to remember which video that was? I'd be interested in seeing it.

If I had to guess on the 99kWh battery, we're looking at 90kWh usable. At 3.6mi/kWh, that's some awesome range. I would be pleasantly surprised at that. We may have to temper expectations to more like 3mi/kWh which matches up pretty well with published targets.

I calculate 407 divided by 0.88 = 462km, not 455. So maybe a little more than the way you calculated it. In any event, I still think a ~100kWh battery should have ~644 km range, which is even more than what the display shows in your picture.
