Do your research on the L2 EVSE. There are some pretty good rebate programs out there tied to the brand of EVSE you choose.
BC Hydro and CleanBC have programs for EVSE installation rebates.
Grizzl-E, SWTCH, ChargeLab, MetroEV, PION all have rebate programs based on the number of kWh that pass through their EVSEs. It is an ever-changing landscape so do some research before deciding.

As far as L2 chargers my experience with Pion is not very good. Have spent a lot of time trying to get their charger to work and so far no luck. This is just my personal experience and you may have better luck but customer support has still not fixed it.

They are not a very mature company for sure. I have 2 of their EVSEs and both are working as intended after setup. I have also worked through setup with my friend to get through the clunky steps.

• Initial connection setup is not intuitive
• Initial charging setup is not intuitive
• Options for charging include a combination setting the initial charging limit (in support of your electrical supply), Plug and Charge (intelligent charging) and scheduled charging.
• Cables are much heavier and less flexible than other brands
• Stable for me now for 7 months once you get through the setup
• $0.10 kWh rebate, clocking in at $800+ in 7 months and counting for me.

I'm happy to help with the setup if I can, barring any warranty issues. DM me if you like.
