iPhone 15 Pro GPS is worthless!

I think the issue is with iPhone pro models with both L1 and L5 GPS antennas. There was a known bug in iOS 16 where the phone couldn't tell which signal to use, and supposedly they fixed it. I have a feeling it's not actually fixed though.

It's sporadic for me, and happened on my C-Max as well as my Mach-E. It doesn't happen all the time though, and when it does I put the phone into airplane mode and take it out and it seems to "fix" it.

My wife's iPhone 11 works perfectly with GPS. My iPhone 12 was great most of the time. My 15 has started behaving sometime around 17.1.1 (I think). It's an inherited trait.

Company gave me an iPhone and I thought good, they work better with the Mach-e comes from all the early posts. Ironic I get the model that didn’t work so well.
Maybe I should get off beta.

I use Apple Maps for the integration. Wife prefers Google maps (yet prefers Apple phone), and keeps telling me Apple Maps suck. It’s the phone, I’ve tested on all the maps.

Alright, we just went on a small trip today, I have an iPhone 15 pro wife has a 12 mini. I tried both, and GPS was garbage on both. We used Waze and goog maps, both had issues staying on track and routing properly. It was terrible and frustrating.

She told me her Lyriq never has this issue. So now I'm learning towards this is a sync issue. But how could it be, when it's using apple car play, isn't it using the phone's GPS?

I hope this gets fixed somehow as it's unbearable.

^^^ Yes I keep saying its a Sync issue since CarPlay works fine in my other vehicles. Although with 6.2.1 update it has greatly improved.

As several other have pointed out this is not an isolated Mach-E problem.
A simple Google search will show that some Toyota, BMW, VW and more are experiencing the same behaviour.
I have just started driving a Mach-E (2023 Euro GTPE) and have yet to observe the issue.
However I did notice the problem with my previous car (Citroen DS7) and on another car I drive with a newer Alpine head unit installed.​

I agree it looks like it’s just random between antennas.
