iPhone podcasts and navigation

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make their podcast audio pause while the navigation prompt is being played? It’s SO annoying when I’m listening to a podcast and the navigation prompt’s interrupt the show, as it continues to play in the background. I have to press 15 second rewind 300x each epic because the prompts play over the podcast.
I saw a similar post about Apple Maps and car audio, but I couldn’t find a solution.

same. If I’m using Waze I usually mute everything except police and other alerts and just glance at the nav here and there for next instruction.

I dont have that issue, it always pauses. Which apps are you using for both? I never use the ford Nav, usually just carplay for nav.

I use the FordPass navigation. The nav that is shown on the list of apps on the car’s home screen

I would recommend using Apple Maps. It always pauses when announcements come in.

Crazy there’s no setting in FordPass to change the setting.
