A dealer I reached out to previously looking for an Infinite Blue Rt 1 or Premium texted me today. They got a Rt 1 (Infinite Blue) in last night. They are selling it for $55, 300. She also included a link to the car in the text. When I clicked on the link, the price was only $51,300. I texted her back about this and asked if it was a $4K ADM. I have yet to receive a response. Is it weird that she quoted me a price that was quite a bit higher than the link to the car says? I hate all this ducking around. I just want to pay what the car should cost. Ugh... are there any dealers in Souther CA that are good to work with? (I'm in the LA area.)

It's actually good I think that she quoted you the the number with the market adjustment. I worked with Santa Margarita Ford to buy mine, they are only doing 2k markups. I spoke to two others this past weekend and one had a 5k markup and the other was 10K!

Sadly it is not uncommon to see ADM on stock/refused MMEs. Pretty rare to see it on ordered cars though. Some consider it a reasonable fee for "skipping the line" and getting a car now as opposed to waiting several months. I think it's BS. ? ?

I test drove a MME at South Bay Ford since they were touting their test drives and I live in the South Bay. They had several on the lot and at the time they told me there was no ADM on the cars--not sure if that's the case anymore. At the time, I already had an order in at a dealership in Cerritos, so I never followed up with South Bay. Other than being clueless about the car, they seemed fine to deal with.

FWIW, the dealer in Cerritos sold me the MME that was ordered at MSRP (actually a bit better due to X Plan pricing), but I think they're marking up cancelled MME orders since their website says to call for price.

Sounds like it is.

I had a line on a cancellation when a car arrived for delivery at a Dealer in Dallas from another forum member. I called the Dealer within 1 hour of the cancellation and was told the car was available with a ADM of MSRP+$5000.

They already had a sales lead rushing down to see it within 20 minutes. I told them to call me back and I'd cut a deposit immediately for MSRP if the other guy declined.

They never called back even to attempt a bidding war.
