Juicebox Vs Ford App - Different SoC Readings.

Just installed a Jukebox 40 @ Home and I'm seeing different SoC numbers between the Juicebox and Ford apps.

Juicebox is consistently 2% above the reading of my Ford app.

Which one do I trust?

Both. EVSE is showing how much electricity was delivered. Ford Pass is showing how much electricity was receive. The difference is overhead.

Juicebox has no ability to know the state of charge of the vehicle. As @shutterbug stated, all it knows is how much energy it delivers from the wall. Then, along the way, roughly 10% is lost.

10% is the typical loss when L2 charging. I have confirmed that when I charge my car, the typical is what I see.

DCFC is more efficient, but it stresses the battery more. Lucid promotes the fact that a 900V DCFC station requires no conversion when charging and consequently is very efficient when charging their car. There are not many 900V stations right now so it is somewhat academic.

Got it. But because of this gap (or something I’m doing wrong) my Juicebox will not charge to 100%. It stopped at 99%.

Any ideas?
