L3 saving charging station??

Hey everyone,

I’m having a difficult time trying to figure out how to save the location of a level 3 charger I use often. I’m in Vancouver, Canada and we have chargers supplied by BC Hydro. I’m unable to go into my locations and save this so I can set the max charge to 80%. Does anyone know why the car will not recognize that I have charged at this location? Actually none of the L3 chargers I have used ever show up in the recent charging locations.

Charge limits only work for AC charging.

There is no reason to set a charge limit for fast charging.

When fast charging you are likely at the car or nearby the car. When it reaches your desired level you should go unplug and move the car.

Not very courteous to let your car sit there done charging hogging a spot.

I understand that. My wife tried it for the first time while taking our kid swimming. She was under the assumption she could park and charge for 2 hours… well you can but the car charged to 100% then for an hour the parking fees kicked in. So $32 for charging lol.

Even if the car had only charged to 80%, the station would have added the idle fee for that time since the vehicle was still plugged in. Even if you could set location-based state-of-charge maximums on DC chargers, to avoid the idle fees, someone has to go unplug and move the vehicle.

Some busy fast chargers even stop you at 80% and charge you idle fees even if you had your car limit set higher.

Yes, of course. Was just thinking of setting it to 80 is all. No biggie.

You first have to charge at the location you wish to add then go to the charging app then add location(s). You can then set max charge for those locations
