I’m sure your dealer isn’t dishonest. Just poorly trained or ignorant. There’s a learning curve and if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, or haven’t done it before, the correct order of updates may not be intuitive.
Hi there! This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd like to see how I can assist you on my end.
Just DMed you. Thanks for reaching out.

So, my car is back at the dealer and they don’t know what’s wrong. They’ve apparently reached out to Ford engineers, and are waiting to hear back. Sigh.

Bah! It is so easy! Apply the software updates! I am angry for you.

Yeah, I’m super annoyed. My MachE is affectionately referred to as the “zoom car” in my house. But until further notice, I’m stuck driving the “incoln,” which is a crummy Lincoln sedan with the “L” literally missing from the car’s logo thingy.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me @NovaMustang. I took it to the dealer to do some updates. I got my car back a day later and my lance centering assist was gone including the ability to set the distance between my and the next car. In other words the button on my steering wheel was useless.

I send it again back to the dealer and they did some remaining updates and that fixed the issue immediately.

Your problem tells me that your dealer didnt install all of the updates available, just like mine. Some of the updates cause these issues which are then fixed by another update so its always advisable to have them install everything.

100%. It would take them two hours (probably less) to fix this problem. I cannot understand why they don't want to apply the software updates.

Anyone able to run my VIN to see what updates are pending? I feel like I’ve seen that being a thing some people on here have the ability to do.

On the 5th they ran a ton of updates

It looks like they have gotten everything updated so far (or FDRS is being stupid and not showing an applicable update)

It also looks like they have run an IPC Configuration and Programmable Module Installation routine yesterday.

and finally, it looks like your vehicle has had two failed OTA updates recently. One for the IPC and the other for the ABS, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, BECM, SOBDMA, & PCM. however, those won't really matter too much since they are updating everything at the dealer

So there is nothing obvious that they missed. Is that what you’re suggesting?

Not that I can see, no. It does look like they are trying to diagnose the issue currently, though.

However, I am still learning the intricacies of FDRS and OASIS so I very well could have missed something

I bet it was the IPC update. We've seen this before....FDRS puts the wrong as built in which breaks lane centering/bluecruise if you have it. Is your car a Job 1 or Job 2 build?

Do you have FORScan?

Where have you seen that? So many things going on it's hard to keep track

I’m a job 1 car. I do not know what FORscan is, so I assume I don’t have it.
