I was in a recent model year Honda and when you were on the freeway, and put on your turn signal to change lanes, it popped the sideview camera image on the center screen. We have those cameras and a huge screen. FORD, please make that a software update. I would love to see my blindspot in the camera on the center screen!

The software has to be not laggy enough to support it too

On the center screen? You would rather look at the screen than over your shoulder?

If there was going to be a camera view.....I would think the bottom of the A-Pillar would be a better place for that image. ??? ? I think the little tiny Honda e has something like that doesn't it?
However, I don't think those cameras on the side mirrors will get you the view you are hoping for. They pretty much look down I think.....

A couple of nights ago I arrived home and my wife's Jeep was halfway down the driveway so I wondered if it rolled forward (she backs the Jeep into the driveway). When I got inside and asked her about it she said the backup camera went black so she just parked it there instead. I guess she forgot about the 3 vintage style mechanical mirrors the vehicle came equipped with.....

I find a lot of blind spots still (I appreciate the blind spot warning lights on the rear view mirrors). I guess I am a tech guy too. I come from driving a pickup with huge side mirrors and bubble mirrors below those.

I mean it puts the reverse camera on without it even booting up fully so I think they could do that if they wanted to. The issue is the camera angle would kind of suck.

This is why there's a little light that turns on. The camera thing is weird to me. To be fair I haven't spent a ton of time using it, but maybe I would get used to it after a while.

Our Honda has this and I agree! It really does cover the blind spot. Sure, I look over as well but its really nice to have when you have a lot of traffic and stuff going on in the lanes around you.

Hyundai has the same thing, replaces one of your gages with the camera. Wife's 2020 Sonata has it and I've always really liked it.

Hyundai’s implementation in the instrument cluster is much better than Honda’s on the center screen. It’s counter intuitive to look at a screen to your right when you want to check a blind spot on your left.

But the MME doesn’t have any cameras facing the blind spots, so this isn’t going to happen for us.
