Hi All,

Here's a link to the problem.

TL;DR there is a leak, it's not a fluid, appears to be just water, behind the front axel. The puddle it forms can be pretty large (think medium sized pizza box).

The dealer said it's just condensation from the A/C. Anyone else have a similar issue?

It's probably condensation. Don't be afraid to touch it. Is it really cold? Condensation. If it's obviously water, condensation. If it has a weird smell, isn't clear, viscous or something that tells you it's obviously not water then it could be something else. Pretty sure your dealer is right though.

That's about where my truck drips AC condensation, too.

I assume you checked the Frunk for melting ice? ;)

Same issue here. Big puddle of dripping water behind front axel, toward driver side. Looked with flashlight and no designed hole to allow condensation to go, rather it seeped through a seam in the panel. Sure hope it’s just condensation from AC. Humid day. Car has all of 200 miles on it!

After waiting nine months, I picked up my MME this week, I have had it three days and 50 miles. In the garage this morning I had this similar water puddle on the garage floor after running the air conditioner in the garage while charging and making some charging adjustments. It has been warm here in Southern California.

Is this normal ? Is this the way the air conditioner condensation works on the MME ? I did not see any tube just a hole for the water to come out. I backed the vehicle down the drive way and the water come out the back end and eventually stopped.

Called the dealer but service not open given the long holiday weekend.

Thanks,

Al

When you cool air, moisture condenses and it has to go somewhere. Driving an electric vehicle doesn't change the laws of thermodynamics regarding A/C condensate generation. Yes it's normal.

The Mach-E is the all-around "wettest" car I've ever had. There's almost always a puddle under it or behind it as air conditioning condensation or trapped rainwater/wash water runs off. It's like a toddler with a leaking diaper--puddles everywhere!

Noticing the same thing on our MachE, but the drip is coming in the rear driver's side. Most of the AC drips seem to be in the front. It almost certainly is water, but has anyone seen it drip by the rear axle?

Yes, Mach-E has an odd design and A/C drips on top of the battery pack. Then it runs back on top of the battery pack and drips off the edge of the pack in front of the rear wheels on a positive incline.

On a negative incline it will drip somewhere between the front wheels.

I have been seeing the dripping brown liquid for months now. I looked under but only saw a battery pack ?. Have you figured out where the liquid comes from. I'm a little worry since it is brown. The color did not come from garage floor. Liquid from condensation should be mostly clear.

My liquid was clear, that is clearly something else.
