Leaking Hatchback fixed by dealer, well maybe

I had the issue others have with the tailgate leaking at the handhold when its lifted. The dealer diagnosed it as an improperly installed spoiler gasket. They completed the work yesterday and said it passed a 30 minute leak test. I was skeptical a new rear spoiler was needed and not just the gasket but it is indeed a new spoiler.

It bothered me that much water was hanging out who knows where in the hatchback. If it was covered under warranty would it be worth having the work done?

What dealer did you go to? There is a bulletin about the hatch leaking, you can definitely get it fixed.
