First, Ford, GM, Rivian (to an extent, based on recent events), etc. PAAK functionality is...... should I say....... lacking. This maybe isn't the intent of the thread, but worth considering for some: If I could go back in time, I would refuse all updates after 3.5.3. I appear to have lost PAAK reliability and can no longer see tire pressures at a glance.
Every time the little gauge appears around the volume knob for temperature or fan speed (i.e., one or two times I month that I actually adjust these) it just reminds me of the price I paid for it, and frankly makes me wonder what the design team prioritizes for the driving experience; I don't see the ergonomic advantage of a pop up dial that requires the user to engage the original control to make it appear. I do see the marketing advantage though.
I have no interest in public wifi from any of my devices, wheeled or otherwise.
The camera button is cool, but in my case, not worth losing PAAK or a persistent tire pressure display.
Is there a rain dance for rolling back?

I can hear the program managers....
Clueless Executive:
"Tesla has an app that can unlock the car. We need that."
No research, product management, qualification, definition, feature development done....
Car System Programmer (Not a User Facing Software Developer):
"We have an app that will let people unlock the car and drive with just their phone. No key. It uses Bluetooth and the cell phone's internet connection. And, as a side note, our app has to be open for it to work and it takes 5+ times as long to connect and unlock the car based on proximity."
User (Or anyone with any consumer technology experience):
Umm, great? You've designed a system that is dependent on a local area network technology that has never lived up to its claims (Bluetooth) and an internet connection that is dependent on cell coverage from companies that people hate with service that is widely complained about.....
OR:
You could do the above AND put an NFC RFID reader in the B-pillar and IP (Instrument Panel) and let the customer access and use their car with an RFID credit card, or the NFC chip already in their phone using either the Apple or Android Wallet. No internet required.
Clueless Executive:
"No. That's just what they'll be expecting us to do..."
That said, I did have some luck deleting the PAAK settings for my phone in the car, and deleting the FordPass app and starting again.
Should you have to do that?
No.
Unfortunately, it is what worked for me.
