I’ve been waiting over a year for my new Dride Pro dash-cam ‘perk’ from Indegogo. Delivery is being endlessly delayed. I’m giving up and looking for another.
I was just looking into into the FITCAMX Dash Cam for my UK Mach-e. It looks impressive because of the OEM fit, where cam is built into a replacement mirror housing and wires into the rain sensor loop inside.
https://fitcamx.com/collections/for-ford-lincoln/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-ford-mustang-mach-e

But manufacturer lusting states in their Mach-e dash-cam model (RESOLUTION( COMPATIBLE WITH LEFT-HAND DRIVE VEHICLES ONLY).

wtf? So I asked Fitcamx support for clarification and their reply said “Sorry the OEM Mach-e LHD & RHD mirrors are different.” Are they really? Anyone know if this is true? Most ICE cars & Tesla use same mirrors in both. Makes sense as they are mounted dead centre (center) in the windscreen (shield) ? just adjusted to left or right seat.

- Thanks

Took some pics today my the RHD mirror housing.
It seems perhaps the motion sensor is on the right side too (reverse). If so zi wonder why that’d be necessary?
Could someone in LHD land please check theirs? - Thanks

No replies… so hears the answer. I finally discovered that the interior motion sensor above the rear view mirror is on ‘right’ of the mirror on RHD cars, … and ‘left’ of the mirror on LHD cars. So Fitcamx only makes their OEM dash-cam built into a new housing for LHD cars.
But If this motion sensor is meant to protect and detect motion inside the car when nobody is in it, … why does it really matter (or does it) which side it’s on? ?

I have also seen that they are currently working on a RHD version.
