Looking for backseat door covers

Hey everyone.

I bring my dog pretty much everywhere I can go. I have a really good backseat cover that I love, so I am all set there. However, When he inevitably sticks his head out the window, his paws are on my windowsills. I am concerned about the scratching of the upholstery. has anyone tried anything like these covers? If so, which do you recommend? Do they stay in place with just the tabs? I do not want to use 3M/velcro if I don't have to. Thanks.
