I have looked around the forum and cant seem to find this. If it is out there please forward. But the the point at hand. Ever since I put new wheels on my mach e I have found that it has a very loud brake noise. It happenes when coming to a stop or slow braking. It almost sounds like the brakes are dragging. Had new tires put on and they said brakes look fine. Thoughts??

I have the same issue. But only with 1P when the car rolls back after stop. It takes too long for the car to switch between regen and friction brakes.
I changed pads and it fixed it for a bit, but it came back.
Interesting, mine also started after I got new wheels. Maybe I should put the old ones back to see if that makes it go away. Although one shouldn’t have anything to do with the other, but I wouldn’t be surprised with this car. 🤷‍♂️

Without photos or video (both would be better), it makes it hard to offer much help. I find it odd that the wheels would make a difference unless they are incompatible with your brake calipers. Your profile doesn’t say what model you have, so hard to guess if this might be an issue.

And just to confirm, you mean new wheels and not new tires, right?

When we took my son’s new car home it had an extremely loud screeching when braking.

Turns out it was a small pebble stuck in the brakes.

Since our cars only use friction brakes at very low speeds (or hard braking) it could be that.

Or it could just be regular rusty brakes after a rain.

To test- drive to 25 mph or so, put the car in neutral and brake normally. This forces only friction brakes (no regen).

The hard part is we can’t hear the sound but you can so a video could help us diagnose.

I have a 2021 mach e premium 2wd. The sound started after the wheels and I think it may have to do with the larger wheels and tires making it more weight. Idk. Its my guess. I can get videos. If I pull out of the garage and roll down the driveway a bit then stop its when its very loud. Also when im coming to a stop. At slow speeds. Its very odd.

There was a post a while back that I can’t seem to find where someone purchased a set of wheels and their car made noise under braking. Switching back to the factory wheels the noise went away. That specific set of new wheels had a natural resonance with the frequencies the MME presents under braking, amplifying them. 🤔🐩
