I love that ford is shipping 2 versions of this update right now. One (older) on the 2023s that doesn’t have the quick access camera button, and one (newer) on 21/22s that does. I mean good on them for adding it and shipping it, but at least update the image that’s going on the 2023s. People are getting brand new, first month run cars that are already out of date.
"out of date" today shall become OTA tomorrow, or so I hope. Having the camera "quick access" will be nice.

Ehh I’m ok with with them being one press deep. In my 18 months of owning a Mach-E I have never once hit those buttons. Just like I in 7 years of ownership I NEVER hit the inside trunk button on my last car.

I’m not criticizing, but when you use them?
Curbside pickup at, well, anywhere that does curbside pickup.

If it was not two laggy presses deep I would hit it almost every time before I got out of the car so it was open when I got there, thus not having to press an external button and wait wait for it to open while standing there. Extra 5+seconds of my life back x a lot trunk openings.

Check out the placement for the Frunk and Truck button.
Sometimes, its like find Waldo.
Job 1 owner. We do not have a Frunk button, and never will (my honest opinion), so frankly I couldn’t possibly care less where they put it.

So that means two button pushes and no easy access to the camera.
They put the camera button on the top row in the version of this that’s going out OTA. The one that’s coming on 2023s is an older rev without it. They’ll probably get it OTA too.

OR… put them on the Home Screen so o don’t have to tap into a laggy menu to open my trunk!!
I don’t know, I fear accidental touches if it's in the home screen.

Like all the accidental touches of the physical trunk button that is in almost all other cars? The car's smart enough not to open anything while driving. I don't see the issue.

When I’m driving my kids around, like, ALWAYS.

“Hey dad, pop the trunk.”
“Yo dad, will you pop the the trunk?”
“Mr. _____, can you open the trunk?”
“Pop the trunk.”

I have never driven a car, ever, that lacked a physical button to open the trunk. Until this one. And they buried it in a menu.

I guess I’m just more controlling about my car. I don’t let anyone put stuff in or take it out, only me.

I don’t want someone scraping the paint or messing with the liftgate trying to close it. I once let my mother-in-law grab something from the back and she was trying to force the hatch closed before it even finished opening. I told her to stop twice before yelling at her to STOP.

What is "auto hold"?
If you're using one pedal drive; you don't need it. Just lets you take your foot off the brake at a stop. The car keeps itself stopped until you hit the "Go" pedal.

Top ribbon. Not active unless in Park. Solved.
There are icons on the top ribbon you need to access while driving. Disabling the ribbon except while in park won’t work.
