I did a bit of range test for some of my remote skiing trips, and testing defrost settings and cabin temperature. It was -30C here, so I did a little highway driving. I wore long-johns, a sweater, my winter coat, my winter boots, and put the 12V heated blanket in my lap. Then I put the cabin temp at 15.5C (the lowest setting) and directed all the air flow towards the front window. I didn't speed, but spent a good portion of the distance at the speed limit of 100km/h.
Worked great! 28 kWh/100km was a lot less electricity use than I expected at -30.
The car was pre-conditioned, more or less: I started my trip almost 2 hrs after my scheduled departure time, but also turned the car on 15 minutes before leaving.
