Saw one in a parking lot today. Looks great in person, very classy.

Owner picked it up this week. It’s the $150k model.

No clue why the photo is upside down, sorry.
I saw a champagne colored one and a charcoal colored one yesterday on the way home from work. Zero MMEs spotted. More Brand T than you can shake a stick at. ??

  • It's a stunning design both the interior as well as the exterior
  • The build quality is top drawer as is the underlying tech.
For price of a Lamborghini, I would expect nothing less.

A very well-produced Lucid commercial?

If my garage was large enough and my pockets deep enough, the Air would be interesting?

Isn’t Lucid backed by the Saudi Government? If so, that definitely helps - no product development cost constraints.
Camisa's stuff is all great. Very well written, funny, the video editing is great too. Check out the ICONS episode on the MME.

I've got one on order but since I opted for the bare bones $7Xk Pure spec, it will be a long time till delivery as they work their way through the higher profit margin orders first. I test drove twice the grand touring version. Software interface is much smoother and slicker than my Mach E and my Model 3 that I had before the MME. The cabin experience is luxurious and there are some really nice design touches that suggest Lucid tried to re-think every element. Not a lot of paint choices but they have great depth to them in person in the sunlight.

However, as luxurious as it is compared to other EVs, I don't think it's quite up to par with ICE luxury competitors, say a S-class. I'm also not sure yet how I feel about the contrasting colors between front and rear seats but that's a minor complaint. The smallest wheel option looks too dinky compared to the size of the car and looks really cheap. The largest wheel option looks beautiful...but it will get damaged very quickly and you lose range. I'm going for the middle option but it's kind of bland. Silly thing to get hung up on.

Northern hemisphere version?

Real question- how do you flip the photo? It’s right side up on my phone, but when I add it here (iPhone), can’t figure out how to rotate.

I saved your photo to a Windows desktop, opened it with the Photo app that comes with Windows, rotated it, saved it, and posted it. I'm not sure why it would be oriented correctly on your phone but then rotated in the posting.

Nah. Jason works for Hagerty.
Not saying anyone was paid for the review (though I agree it does have that vibe) but that doesn't mean anything anymore. I read that Rivian paid Car and Driver for a series of articles. All the auto journalists getting first looks at vehicles are getting kickbacks (look at the Lyriq reveal which was hosted at a resort.....). It's pretty hard to find something objective nowadays.

A for profit company paying another for profit company to do something for profit?

What has the world come to these days?!?

Objective reviews have never existed. It’s always about your personal experience. And if that personal experience involves getting handed a sizeable check…… seems like you had a favorable experience!

It was the poster I was responding to who implied a review was objective because it came from Hagerty's.

After watching the whole video I'm inclined to call it a commercial as well. The over-the-top moment was when they were pretending to race while handing a (gutted) motor case to the guys in the backseat.
