Hey everyone,

just an observation and was wondering if anyone else came across this.

I removed the dealer installed locking lug nuts today because they are useless and ugly. Torqued the new nut down to 150ft lbs and then checked the others. None of the others were even close to 150ft lbs. The car has about 1,900 km’s on it and I’m surprised how loose all the other lugs are. Anyone else come across this?

I had the dealer I got my 2024 from swap my wheels and tires (and lug nuts and locks) over from my 2021. When I got home about 2 hours later, I let the car cool off and then checked the lug nuts with a wrench that had been calibrated less than 3 years prior. No issue with torque. ?‍♂?

I tend to put a torque wrench on them every so often, especially if I or somebody has had the wheels off after a settling period which is recommended for spigot mounted wheels.

Bought a 2024. Custom wheels and lug nuts moved by dealer from 2021 to 2024. Drove the car home from dealer, which was over 2 hours away from home. Let car cool off. Checked torque several hours later with a recently calibrated torque wrench. All lug nuts still snug. ?‍♂?
