Will the Mach-e charge
the new LVB battery to 100% SOH afterwards?
Can it? Now that the battery requires (i think) a higher voltage.

The MME charges it just fine as well. I have not torn down the battery to examine the electronics - but I would imagine it has the same electronics as an RV lithium battery that is charged from the vehicle battery - a very common application.

You can look up DC/DC chargers to see how they work. There is normally something called a boost/buck converted used to boost the DC voltage if needed.

Well, the diehard is no available either at Advance auto parts. Back to the search I guess.

Funny Business going on. I checked with three Ford dealers and none had battery or could get them they said. I checked yesterday with a dealer in North Carolina. He said he had none but could get one by today. When I questioned about a national back order he just laughed. He said his Ford supplier had 53 in stock at that time. He ordered, I picked it up today, charged to 100% and installed. Took me about 20 minutes using the slide out method. Odd, though. When I went to reset car to new battery the 12v battery came on red and never blinked. I turned car off and back on and battery icon was gone. Car behaved normally. I have no idea if anything reset or not. So.....for those needing one, there are Ford OEM batteries out there. Mine was manufactured in June 2024.

Yeah the dealers saying they’re on national backorder are just stupid. Don’t believe everything dealers say.
