I just saw this article posted. I take it with a grain of salt that the article is fully accurate. It appears in the least that the adapter being used is only a J1772 plug and not the CCS plug since it seems (albeit hard to see in the video) that the DC pin flap is still closed on the MME. But still interesting if this is possible to charge even at L2 charging. Here's hoping for the Supercharging network to open up sooner rather than later.

Fake! Can't DC charge without using the DC pins in the charge port! They're using a Tesla adapter which only works with AC charging. Now which one of you did it? ?

This is not possible. The crack team at Teslarati has updated the article to indicate that, but they really should have known better than to publish it in the first place.
Can't get clicks if you don't clickbait.

But it does show the problem with opening up Superchargers to non-Tesla's without some serious cable modifications (not only the end of the plug connector). The charge port on the MME is not in the same place as a Tesla. Normally a Tesla would be in the backed into the parking spot in the foreground to reach the charge port on the rear drivers side. If a MME was to charge at a Supercharger it would be parking in the 'wrong' spot to get the existing length cords to reach. Thus if not plugged into an end of line charger like this one is, the MME would be blocking one charger while using another (effectively taking up two chargers).

Yeah, that has already been an issue at the handful of Superchargers in The Netherlands that are piloting it. Just wait until a Tesla can't plug in because an EV with its charging port in the "wrong" place is blocking the spot that was meant for the charger next to it. Blood will be spilled.
