My brand new 24 GT has done this a couple of times, no rhyme or reason that I can tell.

Apologies if it wa already mentioned in this thread, but I heard the problem was related to the "Profile" feature (due to some software timing issue, the correct user profile sometimes isn't loaded, and it loads a default instead)

I turned off profiles and now my car has stopped forgetting whether it's "bridled" or not ;-)

I've been having the same problem for the past few months: shifting from unbridled to engage nearly every day. Late 20221. No one at my local Ford shop has a clue as to what's happening, of course.

I have noticed that our 2023 switches to Engage mode from my preferred Unbridled whenever I use Fordpass to turn on the climate system before I go out to the car. If I just get in and start, it stays in Unbridled.

I now have been trained by the car to watch for the Unbridled graphic after I press Start.
I have noticed My 22 jumped to engage from whisper on its own at least a couple of times, but it’s easy to switch it back, I did precondition a few times. Don’t know if it’s related. Going to test it. Even I set all the profiles to whisper but it only likes engage. I felt the regeneration was stronger and the steering was heavier. Pressed the vehicle icon indeed it was at engage despite none of the profile set to engage. Will test if it’s related to preconditioning and report back.

I usually drive in whisper mode as it provides all the response and power I need for normal driving. But I also noticed that sometimes I would notice the car being a bit more ā€˜perky’ and lo and behold it was suddenly in ā€˜engage’ mode.
Well, a week ago we were out in the car and the occasion occurred where I had to step on it to to get around a truck. The car responded as expected, we easily, and very quickly, accelerated past the truck and guess what?…..the car changed the mode to ā€˜engage’ again. Apparently. If it sees you demand more than the usual amount of acceleration, it decides for you that you ought to be in ā€˜engage’ mode. I tested it a couple more times and confirmed the behavior. I can’t recall if this explains the earlier occasions, but it seems likely now that it probably did. And when I switched back to whisper, and didn’t introduce any sudden demands, it stayed in whisper. So I think I know what’s a going on…….

Just ran precondition, it didn't go away from whisper. So it's something else makes it jump.
