Well, we got the dreaded delay email yesterday.

We have a late September build date, so I’m guessing a January to February delivery.
I’m guessing it’s going to be a 2022 model now.

At least we’re getting an additional 250 kWh for free. Yeah.

Hopefully it's before the end of 2021. It would really be a bummer to take delivery in 2022 and have to wait until 2023 to get the $7500 back.

Feel for you. How would like to be one that just saw his GT Premium produced and then received the letter. Worst than that, it was preordered Nov 2019

I ordered my GTPE on April 27th, and eventually got a build date of August 16th. On August 13th, I found that my GTPE was "In Production"...3 days early!

My GT-PE is scheduled to go into production the week of Sept. 27 (reservation converted to order on 4/27). According to what I have read, it will be produced that week then fo into storage awaiting one or more subassemblies that is/are affected by the “chip shortage.” It already has a VIN assigned and the ViN is for a 2021 model. So, even though it may be delivered in 2022, it will be a 2021 model.

We have the same week also, my husband got the email, which is weird, I’ve been generally getting all emails. Go figure.

So are you saying you MAY get a 2021 model after the 22's are being built ?

That is correct. Depending on how much over the minimum of 6 weeks delay, I could be taking delivery some time in 2022. ? I dislike his some orders that were not associated with reservations are queued either ahead of mine or with mine.
