I have a 2021 Mach E GT with the 'Flower' wheels and after taking the plastic aero covers off, I found that I much prefer the look of the wheels with the covers removed. It allows you to see more of the big brake caliper and is, in general, a much more 'open' and looks much more like a performance car wheel. The plastic covers also trap brake dust and other crap behind the wheel which can cause scratches on the finish. Finally, more open area improves brake cooling.
BUT... there's one problem. Ford did not supply a center cap for the ugly axle nose and nut. Even worse, there's not actually any geometry on the wheel to hold a traditional center cap at all even if one did exist. There's no lip machined into the center bore to grab onto the fingers of a center cap.
So I designed this adapter that screws onto the axle thread and allows you to transfer the center caps supplied on the aero covers into the wheel without aero covers.
Along with these, I also drilled out the holes in the aero covers slightly so that I could attach and detach them without having to remove the wheel, allowing me to snap them on when I needed the extra range and remove them when I didn't.
