So... I tried to create an account, but kept running into errors. I have a Ford.com account since I own a vehicle, but this required a separate login. That was okay, but then my mobile number caused an error. I took it out and tried again, and it wanted a retiree code. Arrgh. I gave up, sorry.

I had to create a fourth account. Yeah, it's ridiculous. So now I have merchandise, owner, support, and social .ford.com.

I left the fields blank for employee ID, retiree ID, and military ID. Within an hour of registering and starting a checkout (to find out shipping cost) but not purchasing, I received like three or four automated emails. Two of them were the discount offers WELCOME10 and WELCOME15.

Anyway, I really wanted to know if FordPass Rewards points could be redeemed towards merchandise at a ford.com shopping site. Was disappointed to not see any attempt at integration.

I did manage to finally create an account - but I had to uncheck the box for getting marketing offers to make it work. And I used the Welcome15 coupon - many thanks, again! It's just weird that the level of integration is that poor. However, my guess is that the site is managed by a third-party without InfoSec permission to integrate via Ford's SSO provider. In fact, the badge at the top left of the site says "Official Licensee." That's a dead giveaway of a 3P site.
